Pete earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (where he met his wife Betsy) and his Masters of Counseling degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It was in Virginia Beach that Pete and Betsy were first introduced to Sovereign Grace Churches. After attending Sovereign Grace Church for a few years, Pete attended Sovereign Grace’s School of Ministry and subsequently joined the pastoral staff of Sovereign Grace Church in Chesapeake, Virginia. In 1998, Pete relocated his family to Denver, Colorado to assist in planting Grace Community Church. Pete pastored at GCC for seven years until 2005, when he relocated to Frisco, Texas to assist in planting Grace Church. In 2016, Pete and Betsy returned to the Denver area to serve once more at Grace Community Church.

Pete and Betsy have four children: Jon, Tim, Josh, and Bethany; two granddaughters: Eliana and Annie; and three grandsons: Isaac, Caleb, and Jamison. They have one more granddaughter on the way!

Our History

Grace Community Church, originally called Providence Community Church, was planted in 1998 by a church planting team made up of 18 families and 22 individuals. The team was sent predominantly from a Sovereign Grace Churches church in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We have experienced God’s provision and care for us as we have grown over the years–beginning in a neighborhood community center, moving into Front Range Community College, Broomfield High School, and in 2006 being blessed with the purchase of our current facility.

Our Mission

Our mission statement is “We exist to make & grow disciples for Jesus with the Gospel of Grace!”  For more information, please see our mission statement page.

Our Affiliation

Sovereign Grace Churches

Grace Community Church is part of a family of churches. Our family includes about 75 churches in the United States, Mexico, Bolivia, Canada, Europe, Eastern Africa, Southeast Asia, and Australia, all of which are joined together under the banner of Sovereign Grace Churches. Along with other Sovereign Grace Churches we share: our vision to plant, build, and support local churches; our passion for the gospel of Jesus Christ; and our commitment to our doctrinal distinctives.
