Our mission and our values demonstrate who we are and flow from what we believe.

Our Mission

“Loving Jesus, our mission is to make and grow disciples of Jesus with the gospel of grace.”

1

Loving Jesus

First and foremost, our mission is to help people get to know and love Jesus. Our prayer is that through the faithful teaching and application of God’s Word, every member of GCC will grow in love and gratitude for Jesus Christ. It is out of this foundation that we seek to serve Him and build our church for His glory.

2

Making Disciples

As a church, we desire to faithfully proclaim the gospel so that others can come to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. A key part of our mission is outward – seeking to reach the lost in our neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces with the good news of Jesus.

3

Growing Disciples

We desire to grow in the faith – in our understanding of and trust in the work of Christ, and in our likeness to Christ. We want to see our marriages, parenting, jobs, and all aspects of our lives increasingly transformed by the grace of God through the faithful and powerful working of the Holy Spirit.

4

The Gospel

The good news of Jesus’ perfect life, substitutionary death, and bodily resurrection is not just for unbelievers. It is the central message of Scripture, the oxygen of the entire Christian life, and the song of heaven. As a church, we want all that we believe and do to be driven by the gospel.

Here's what we value as a church

The core values of any organization reflect who they are and what they believe. At Grace Community Church, we have seven core values we share with all Sovereign Grace Churches.

Gospel-Centered

We believe that the gospel—the good news of God’s saving activity in Jesus Christ—is the pinnacle of His redemptive acts, the center of the Bible’s story, and the essential message for our faith, life, and witness.

Reformed

Scripture presents the all-glorious, triune God as the source and end of all things, sovereignly working all things according to His will. At the center of God’s purposes in the world is the exaltation of His glory through the redemption of sinners.

Continuationist

We believe the Holy Spirit desires to continually fill each believer with increased power for Christian life and witness, including the giving of His supernatural gifts for the building up of the church and for various works of ministry in the world.

Complementarian

We believe it was God’s glorious plan to create men and women in His image, giving them equal dignity and value in His sight, while appointing differing and complementary roles for them within the home and the church.

Elder-Governed

Jesus Christ reigns as head over His church, and He gives to His church elders (or pastors) to govern and lead local churches under His authority.

Mission-Minded

Our Gospel-centered focus not only entails treasuring the Gospel personally but also in sharing the Gospel passionately with those who don't know Jesus.

Interdependent

Our fellowship with other churches extends beyond mere denominational affiliation; we are committed to applying the gospel together in relationships that foster mutual encouragement, care, and a glad pursuit of Christlikeness.

Partnership and Other Affiliations

Grace Community Church is a grateful member of Sovereign Grace Churches. We also give thanks for other biblically-faithful organizations who encourage and equip us.
