PRAYER OF THE WEEK
Let’s pray that the Lord would work in all of our hearts to create a family culture of increasing gratitude and biblical encouragement. Pray that we would all reject the critical and cynical spirit of our age and “put on” both thanksgiving and genuine, God-honoring encouragement. See Ephesians 4:29; Hebrews 3:13; James 5:9; Colossians 3:12–17.

Intro to Biblical Counseling
Our Rooted in Grace Biblical Counseling Team is hosting a two-part “Intro to Biblical Counseling” course 8:30–11:30AM next Saturday, August 15 and a second date TBD (we’ll find a date that works for as many as possible of the August 15 attendees). Our desire is to have every member of GCC participate in this course as we seem to become a church that is “competent to counsel.” Leaders of Life Groups and ministry teams are particularly encouraged to attend. Living as a Follower of Jesus Info Meeting
Do you sense a need to grow in your understanding and application of the basic truths of the Christian faith, and/or have a desire to potentially disciple new believers? Starting in September we're offering Living as a Follower of Jesus, a self-paced course (with monthly Q&A meetings) covering the key doctrines and practices of the Christian faith. If you'd like to participate, please sign up with this link for a short info meeting at noon on August 30 in Room 134. Hope to see you there!

The Family Room and Nursing Mothers Room are available throughout the service for anyone who feels the need to step out of the service with a baby or young child. The Family Room has space for children to play and a livestream so parents can still watch/listen to the service. The Nursing Mothers Room is a comfortable and private room for mothers and infants; audio of the service feeds into the room. Please ask a member of the welcome team if you’d like to be directed to one of these rooms.
